    许信成轻轻地笑了笑，解释道：“Rose， as you know， the New Era Industrial Park is about to open， and our company， the Sino-America XinFei company is about to officially open too， and we are decorating the offices， working on all kinds of the preparations for the openings. There is just too much important work and not enough time， so， I really don’t have time to relax and have fun now.”（“Rose，你是知道的，新时代产业园即将开园，中美信飞公司即将正式开业，我们正在装修办公室，正在为开园和开业做着各种准备工作。重要的工作事务实在太多，时间却不够，所以，我现在真地没时间休息和娱乐。”）

    “Steve， I have become very concerned about you， you are working way too hard now. And working too hard is definitely not good to your life and your health.”（“Steve，我很担心你，你工作得太辛苦了。过度工作对你的生活和健康是非常不好的。”）

    对于Rose的关心，许信成是很感激的，是很感动的，从她的目光中，可以看得出，她的关心是由衷的。他感激地说：“Rose， thanks a lot for your concern!”（“Rose，非常感谢你的关心！”）

    不过，他只是稍微停了停，便接着说：“But I am good， I feel good. I really don’t mind working every day， I don’t mind at all， actually， I don’t even think it’s hard to me.”（“可是我很好，我感觉很好。我并不在意每天工作，根本不在意，事实上，我甚至不认为那对我来说是辛苦之事。”）

    Rose秀眉微蹙，看起来明显是有些急了，她急声说道：“It is just a job， and you have a life. Do you really think that your Job is more important than your own life?”（“它只是一份工作，而你还有生活。你真地认为工作比你自己的生活还要重要吗？”）

    他真地需要如此拼命地工作吗？当然需要，而且，他没有半点不愿意，没有半点埋怨。对他来说，那不只是一份工作，而是一份承诺，一份责任，一份担当。对他来说，工作的确比生活更重要。可是，这事还真地没办法和Rose说清楚，她是不会理解的，退一万步说，即使她真地能理解，他也不能把事情的前因后果说清楚，因为其中涉及到了Lucy的秘密。

    许信成想了想，他只能尝试用其他说辞了，“To me， it’s more than a job， it’s part of my life， it’s a major part of my life.”（“对我来说，它不仅仅是一份工作，它是我生活的一部分，它是我生活的大部分。”）

    对他来说，现在的工作就是生活中最大最重要的一部分，这部分虽占了每天的绝大多数时间，可他对现在的生活状况很满意，因为他每天都过得特别充实，每天都过得特别有意义。

    “Are you serious?”（“你是认真的？”）Rose惊讶地喊道。

    许信成坚定地点了点头，认真地说：“Yes， I am serious.”（“是的，我是认真的。”）

    她瞪大着双眼，不解地说：“Job is job， life is life， how can you mix them together?”（“工作是工作，生活是生活，你怎么会把它们混为一谈？”）
